Things to keep in mind
An animal bite has a higher risk of infection than other wounds because there is a lot of bacteria mouths (especially in human mouths!).
How is it treated?
Clean the bite with soap and water and disinfect it with iodine so that it doesn't get infected. A doctor may need to prescribe you an antibiotic.
You may need stitches to close the wound if the bite is very deep. You might have to get a shot that prevents rabies. This depends on which animal bites you and which counrty you are in.
And remember, always ask your doctor!
