Cavities

Cavities

How do you know you have one?

You feel a shooting pain in your tooth when you drink something very hot or very cold.

You see a black spot on your tooth.

How do you remove cavities?

First, anesthesia is used to put your mouth to sleep.

Then, the cavity is removed from your tooth by making a small hole. Last, the hole in your tooth is filled with a filling.

What should you do?

You have to brush your teeth every day, after every meal. Be sure to brush your top and bottom teeth. Brush your teeth in an up and down motion for at least 2 minutes and don't forget to brush the inside of your teeth too!
Don't eat a lot of sweets because sweets cause cavaties.

And remember, always ask your doctor!
