What are they?

Intestinal worms (also called pinworms) are a type of parasite that lives in the intestine. At night, pinworms travel through the intestine to lay eggs around the anus, causing intense itching.
A single pinworm can lay up to ten thousand eggs!

What is the treatment like?

To eliminate pinworms, you have to take a syrup that eradicates them. It is also advisable for all family members to take it, just in case they have come into contact with any eggs.

Tips

Wash underwear, pajamas, and bedding to make sure no pinworm eggs remain.
Keep nails short and wash hands thoroughly to prevent accidentally ingesting pinworm eggs.
